M8W2 Blog Post #14 Tea on The Tourism Whistler Media Room


The Tourism Whistler media room was very organized and easy to follow when exploring the webpage. It was bright with aesthetic features that draw viewers interest in to want to keep learning about the brand. The images throughout the webpage had amazing detail for simple photos. Also, I noticed a video in the news release section to have media room visitors want to stop scrolling to watch because it had amazing features and shows the importance of the message sent to their viewers. I believe by looking at some of the news release articles they are different from a traditional news release because they have detail provided in them to give the viewer a clear understanding on what the brand wants its viewers to know. Another thing I noticed how it was different from a traditional news release is they had important words or topics bolded to grab the reader's attention for them to want to keep reading about it to learn more. If I was a journalist, I would find the video being featured a useful tool because it is different and unique that not all brands use videos to grab their viewer’s interest. The hashtag social element was another feature I would find useful because it is able to show a variety of different things for the viewers to engage in to learn more. Overall, I would recommend this media room and brand to anyone because just how easy the media room was to navigate, and it was aesthetically pleasing.
